
Getting Started Guide
Foundry VTT
This guide will teach you how to setup and connect Gameboard to your Foundry VTT server.

Getting Started with Foundry
STEP 1: Go to foundryvtt.com and purchase/download Foundry VTT
STEP 2: Install & launch Foundry VTT. Follow the prompts to accept the terms and activate your license key
STEP 3: Click on "Add-On Modules"
STEP 4: Click on "Install Module"

Install Gameboard Module
STEP 5: Search for and install the "Gameboard Support" module. This should also offer to install the "TouchVTT" module which is required as a dependency, then you can move on to Step 7, otherwise continue to Step 6

Install TouchVTT Module
STEP 6: Search for and install the "TouchVTT" module, which is required for Gameboard compatibility
If you have used Foundry VTT before, you can skip the rest of the server setup steps and go right to "Connecting To Your Gameboard"

Install your Game System
STEP 7: Click on "Game Systems"
STEP 8: Click on "Install System" to find and install the game rulesets you would like to use for your game(s) (ie, D&D 5E, PathFinder 2nd Edition, etc)

Find your IP address
STEP 9: Once you've launched Foundry VTT and logged into your Game World, click on the "Settings" icon in the top right corner
STEP 10: Click on "Invitation Links"
STEP 11: Use "Local Network" IP address to connect Gameboard to your Foundry VTT server (or the Internet IP if you are connecting remotely, which can be provided by your GM)

Connecting Your Gameboard
STEP 12: Launch "Foundry VTT" on Gameboard
STEP 13: Enter in the IP address from Step 11 into the IP address field, then click "Submit"
STEP 14: Log into the Foundry VTT server using your username/password (provided by your GM if logging in as a player) and get ready to roll for adventure!
Now you are ready to lead your questing party into exciting adventures!
NOTE: Gameboard has a map image resolution limit of 4096x4096, anything larger than that will not be displayable on Gameboard. We recommend you resize your maps to smaller than that before using them on Gameboard.
